Damage: Biohazard?

Occasionally, I cruise the salvage-vehicle websites out of morbid curiosity. Usually, the damage is listed as "flood," "hail," "front," "rear," etc. But this is a new one for me: "biohazard."

2010 Mercedes-Benz GL350 BlueTEC

The driver's seat has been stripped to its bare metal frame. The door panels have been removed in the driver's side door and opposite rear door. Carpet has been cut away around the driver's seat, and the leather has been cut away from half of the center console. The headrests are also missing from the second row.

What are we thinking? My guess is that someone was shot in this car, quite messily.

Your solution seems the simplest one. Although I can't imagine it being too overtly messy for what little of interior was removed.

Going with gunshot, if it's driver side and rear passenger side, possibly a fatal carjacking? Gun through the front driver side window, gunshot and blood splatters to the rear passenger area....

It could be an animal attack. I have seen many cars with a Biohazard tag that have been broken into by animals

There's this guy on the vortex who searches CoPart and similar sites for Biohazard cars and posts them. He also sometimes posts the news article that produced the bio-hazard.

I have seen what's left of the mess when a bum uses the car as a hotel for the night. Could have used the driver seat as a toilet.
